Over 11,500 Covid cases detected within 10 days. Sri Lanka’s COVID active cases increasing

More than 11,500 COVID cases have been reported in Sri Lanka within the last 10 days. The number of Covid-19 cases reported within the last 7 days listed as 8417.

Sri Lanka is currently doing about 8800 PCR tests daily. Test positivity rate is also increasing and the 7-day average is about 13%.

Sri Lanka’s active COVID patients count reached 22,000 mark again. According to the data reported by the Epidemiology Unit, active cases count shows as 22,180.

Sri Lanka has reported 619,434 COVID-19 cases out of which 581,659 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, bringing down the active patient count to 22,180. A total of 15,595 deaths have been reported from the virus.
