The services rendered included passport renewals, attestation and legalization of documents, issuance of attestations for passport applicants, certificates of unmarried status, certified copies of birth certificates, preparation of power of attorney, registration of births and citizenship, acceptance of driving license applications, as well as the provision of general consular information and assistance.
On the margins of the programme, the Embassy delegation, led by the Minister; Himali Rathnaweera and supported by consular officials; Shiyamala Shanmugarajha, Thanuja Perera and Namal Samarakoon held a series of cordial and constructive engagements with members of the Sri Lankan community in Portugal and Spain. These interactions encompassed meetings at Lisbon and Portalegre with community leaders, professionals, representatives of associations, and members of the business community, with discussions focusing on matters of mutual interest and on further strengthening ties between the Embassy and the Sri Lankan community.
