Do not panic – Energy Minister

Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara request the public not to panic on fuel shortages as CPC & LIOC has adequate stocks. Shortage are due to non placement of orders by Fuel Station owners anticipating a fuel price reduction. Dealers has been required to maintain a minimum stock of 50%.

“I have asked CPC to review & suspend the license of fuel stations that had not maintained minimum stocks”.
