Shiranthi Rajapaksa’s First Heart Surgery Successful

The first heart surgery performed on former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa has been successfully completed, according to family sources.

The procedure was carried out following a medical emergency that arose while she was receiving inpatient treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.

Family sources said she is currently receiving medical care and monitoring following the procedure.

They further said that another open-heart surgery is expected to be performed at a later date, depending on her medical condition and the advice of her doctors.
