Navy sets up Intermediate Care Centre for COVID19 at Boossa

As a part of another pandemic control operation, the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) established an Intermediate Care Centre for COVID-19 at the Boossa Naval Base in Galle on May 04.

The Care Centre is facilitated with a medical staff including 02 doctors and 162 beds in 12 wards COVID patients.

The SLN, which works in line with the Government’s efforts to expand facilities required to treat COVID-19 established an Immediate Care Centre for COVID-19 in Gampaha on May 02 converting a closed factory in Werellawatta area, Gampaha.

The infrastructure at this stand-in treatment centre will be developed to accommodate up to 2000 beds, considering the space available, the SLN also said.
