A coordinated operation conducted by the Navy and Kandana Police apprehended a suspect with 300 Pregabalin capsules (150 mg) at Kerawalapitiya Power Plant on 13th July 2023. The suspect was nabbed when he was peddling the controlled drugs by illegal means.
During this special operation mounted by SLNS Gemunu in the Western Naval Command with Kandana Police, the suspect was held on suspicion at the Kerawalapitiya Power Plant on 13th July. During further search, the raiding party managed to find 300 Pregabalin capsules (150 mg) in his possession.
The apprehended suspect is a resident of Waththala, aged 26. The accused, along with controlled drugs was handed over to the Kandana Police for onward legal action.
