According to the State Minister of Education Reforms, Open Universities, and Distance Learning Promotion Susil Premajayantha, Grade 5 Scholarship Exam which is scheduled on November 14 & Advance Level Examination A/L exam which scheduled from November 15th – December 10, postponed again.
Minister says A/L Examination has been pushed to most probably year 2022 January month due to prevailing covid pandemic situation in the country and ongoing teachers strike. The exact dates and relevant exam time table will be released in future date to examination department official www.doenets.lk website.
With the 3rd COVID wave in Sri Lanka which started mid April, Sri Lanka closed all schools and restricted government offices’ staff, imposed lock-downs, introduced Work From Home WFH and imposed month-long travel restrictions. Also school teachers started a strike action on July month. Those development impact to the A/L exam conducting.
Normally, A/L Exam will be held in August month. The exact exam dates and the relevant timetable has not been released so far. The time table will release to examination department official www.doenets.lk website.
