Sri Lanka women’s 400 m hurdles Champion Kaushalya Madushani has passed away. She has committed suicide at her home in Dummalasuriya. At the time of her death, Kaushalya, 26, was an alumnus of Kuliyapitiya Central College. She was worked attached to the Sri Lanka Army.
Madushani won first place in the women’s 400m hurdles at the 100th National Athletics Championships held on April 23 and clocked 58.76 seconds.
