Advisory issued for heavy rain

The Department of Meteorology has issued an “Amber” advisory for heavy rains affecting the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces, and Batticaloa and Ampara districts. The advisory, issued today (15), will remain in effect until 08.30 a.m. tomorrow (16).

Accordingly, heavy rainfall above 100 mm will occur at some places in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces, and Batticaloa and Ampara districts.
