Thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, North-central and Eastern provinces and in Vavuniya, Mullaitivu and Hambantota districts.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.

Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Eastern and North-Central provinces.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western, Uva and North-Central provinces during the morning.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
