Sri Lanka’s COVID death toll passed the 14,000 mark with 21 COVID19 deaths confirmed. According to the Director General of Health Services these deaths had taken place November 14 and the total number of fatalities in Sri Lanka increased to 14,016.  Sri Lanka is now the 47th country to cross the 14,000 deaths mark.

Among the dead majority were males. Out of the 14,016 deaths, about 7800 are male while about 6200 are females.

The majority of the deaths are of the people in the over 60 years of age group. 76.5% percent deaths are above age 60 years group. 22.32 percent are 30-59 and 1.18% are below the age of 30.

For the 4th consecutive day, Sri Lanka records more than 20 COVID related deaths again.
