Sri Lanka’s COVID death toll now close to 16,000 mark with 25 COVID19 deaths confirmed. According to the Director General of Health Services these deaths had taken place February 19 and the total number of fatalities in Sri Lanka increased to 15,994.
The majority of the deaths are of the people in the over 60 years of age group. 76.22% percent deaths are above age 60 years group. 22.49 percent are 30-59 and 1.29% are below the age of 30.
