Bus fares to be increased – Minimum fare of Rs. 16 ?

State Minister of Bus Transport Services Dilum Amunugama says that bus fares would have to be increased due to the recent hike in fuel prices. Minister further says that bus fares would be increased by a small amount from December 29 Wednesday. 

Several Bus Associations have requested to increase the minimum bus fare up to Rs. 16 from the current minimum fare of Rs.14.
