On June 25, Sri Lanka recorded 1876 coronavirus cases, the lowest in the last 45 days. Among the positive cases identified Tuesday are, 1859 persons from the New Year COVID-19 cluster and 17 foreign arrivals.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report a total of 249,926 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 32444 infected patients are being treated at hospitals, while 214668 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals. Sri Lanka reported 48deaths Wednesday raising the toll to 2862.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 2,513,654 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 870,992 have received the second dose.
