At least 2 persons have died, 2 injured and over 5100 people have been affected due to the adverse weather conditions prevailing in several parts of Sri Lanka. According to DMC report, 3 houses are fully damaged, and 347 houses are partially damaged due to bad weather. 55 people displaced. 7 districts were affected.

Massive rainfall of 215 mm reported last 24-hour in Norochcholai area Puttalam district. Meanwhile, Department of Meteorology say that the low pressure area is still persist in the vicinity of Sri Lanka.

Hence, rains or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern, North-central, North-western, Eastern and Uva provinces. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere especially during the evening or night.

Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in the Northern, North-central, North-western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Trincomalee district.
