A school bus worth five million rupees (Rs. 5,000,000) was donated to the children of the Mahawa, Vijayaba Central College under the the ‘Sakwala’ program. This was the 51st bus donated via the this program.
Under the ‘Sakwala’ program another school bus was donated to the children of the Anuradapura, Thabuththegama Central College as the 50th bus.
The Sakwala program has been designed to enhance the infrastructure of remote schools and develop a modern technical knowledge of children studying in Sri Lanka.
