A showery condition is expected to enhance in the northern, north-central and eastern provinces of the island in the next few days (from the 17th).
Several spells of showers will occur in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa, Matale and Hambantota districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon or night.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
