2022 G.C.E Ordinary Level (O/L Exam) examination which was scheduled to commence on May 15, has been postponed by two weeks, the Department of Examinations announced. Accordingly, the examination will be held from May 29 to June 08, 2023.
2022 O/L Exam subjects and the relevant timetable with dates have NOT been released so far. The time table will release to examination department official www.doenets.lk website later.

Update – 2022 O/L exam has been postponed again. Sri Lanka Education Minister Susil Premajayantha says that 2022 GCE Ordinary Level examination is planned to be held May 2023.
Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha further says if 2022 (2023) G.C.E. Advanced Level examination’s paper marking activities are delayed, the 2022 G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination is most likely to be postponed further.
Education Ministry says that first term of government schools holidays ( Sinhala & Tamil) will be from April 05th – 16th, 2023. Also they further says that all school will remain closed from May 13th – 24th for Ordinary Level Exams.
“Most probably examination will have to be started at the end of April month or the first week of May 2023” Minister said.
Earlier, G.C.E O/L examination was scheduled to be held January or February 2023. 2022 O/L Exam subjects and the relevant timetable has not been released so far. The time table will release to examination department official www.doenets.lk website later.
