Free Media Movement FMM writes to Minister of Mass Media and Information about the arbitrary suspension of journalist Manjula Samarasekara.
Manjula Samarasekara is serving as the Head of the Digital Media Department at the state-owned Lake House ANCL Newspapers. His service was suspended by a November 25 unnumbered letter. His suspension has been in place for 1 month but no reasons have been given so far. Manjula Samarasekara is deeply distressed by the situation and has fallen into economic insecurity due to the loss of his job.
FMM requests from Media Minister to intervene immediately and seek justice.
