Update – Thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Eastern provinces and in Polonnaruwa district.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Sabaragamuwa, Western and North-Western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm can be expected at some places. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in North-Central, Eastern and Uva provinces after 2.00 p.m.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
