Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera says the exact date of arrival for the next fuel shipment cannot be confirmed as the moment. Public transportation, power generation and industries would be given priority until the shipments arrive. Minister requested the public NOT to queue up for fuel in coming few days.
“Limited stocks of Diesel and Petrol will be distributed to limited stations throughout next week and request the public not to line up for fuel” tweeted Minister.
Currently Sri Lanka is experiencing fuel shortage in the market. Long queues report at filling stations island-wide.
