China is expected to hand over its letter of support (for Sri Lanka’s debt restructuring) to the IMF on Sunday January 22 reports Foreign media.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe earlier said that government discussed the debt restructuring process with China’s EXIM Bank and by now have commenced exchanging views on it. President further said that talks with China on debt restructuring successful.
Sri Lanka is currently carrying out a debt restructuring program and already completed the negotiations with Japan and India which is two of the three main countries.
