The audit report NOT shows that the names of journalists Azzam Ameen, Dhanushka Aravinda and Lahiru Mudalige had been sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket to go to Australia for the 2022 International Cricket Council T-20 World Cup (Men) tournament.
During FACTCRESCENDO’s observation, it was confirmed that the names of the above three journalists are NOT included in the audit report.
Social Media posts are circulating saying that the Sri Lanka Cricket SLC sponsored a famous actress Shalani Tharaka and some of her friends to watch the matches of the 2022 World T20 tournament have caused a lot of controversy.
Meanwhile, some social media posts indicated that journalists Azzam Ameen, Dhanushka Aravinda and Lahiru Mudalige were among those who traveled in this way. FACT CRESCENDO Sri Lanka’s observation has confirmed that the names of the aforementioned three journalists are NOT present in the audit report.
