According to reports from French media, President Emmanuel Macron of France is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka this weekend (July 28th evening)after his return from Papua New Guinea. During his brief stay, President Macron is expected to hold a meeting with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
President’s Media PMD confirmed the French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Sri Lanka. A bilateral meeting will be held between President Ranil Wickremesinghe and President Macron to discuss regional and global challenges.
This visit marks a historic occasion as it will be the first time a French president has visited Sri Lanka.
On June, President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe participated for the World Leader’s Summit for a New Global Financing Pact in France and met President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron.
