Sri Lanka achieved a milestone on February 29 with the inauguration of its inaugural semi-transparent Solar PV powered Agrivoltaic pilot project in Hanthana, Kandy, funded by the Asian Development Bank.
The project, a collaboration involving the Ministry of Plantation Industries, Ministry of Power & Energy, CEB, Tea Small Holders Development Authority, and Sustainable Energy Authority, aims to explore the potential for renewable energy development in the country’s tea plantations.
