Under the existing Agrahara Insurance Scheme, there are provisions to provide benefits to employees who have retired from the public service after 01st January 2016 up to the age of 70 years.
Cabinet approval was granted on 22nd July 2020 to amend the Agrahara Insurance Scheme to provide the relevant benefits to the retirees who have retired from the public service before that date. Accordingly cabinet of ministers approved the proposal presented by Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government to further expand and implement the existing benefits of the Agrahara Insurance Scheme to provide benefits to all retirees who have retired from the public service.
