MET Department says showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island tonight. National Building Research Organization NBRO issued landslides alert for several districts due to prevailing rainy condition.
NBRO issued landslides “Warning Level 1” (Watch – Yellow) alert for Nuwara Eliya, Ratnapura, Matale , Kegalle , Kandy, Kalutara, Badulla and Galle Districts.

Meanwhile MET predicts, Showers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts November 4th. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere in the evening or night.
Fairly heavy showers about 75mm can be expected at some places in the Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Eastern provinces.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
