Wasantha Karannagoda appointed new Governor of North Western Province

Former Navy Commander Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda appointed as the Governor of the North Western Province.

Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda was sworn in as the new Governor of the North Western Province before President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (December 09).

Wasantha Karannagoda served as the Commander of the Navy during the humanitarian operation. He has previously served as Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Japan.

Wasantha Karannagoda has been appointed as the new Governor of the North Western Province following the death of Raja Collure.
