Recently police arrested Nathasha Edirisooriya, who made disrespectful remarks on the Buddhist philosophy and culture while attempting to leave the country.
Meanwhile, The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has issued an overseas travel ban against Pastor Jerome Fernando and to arrest him when he is arriving to Sri Lanka. A video related to a statement made by a Christian pastor named Jerome Fernando circulated on social media in recent days causing a great controversy in the country.
Sepala Amarasinghe also arrested and later released on bails over complaints of making statement defaming the Sri Dalada Maligawa Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
