Inter University Students’ Federation and University students to launch a massive protest march on May 19 against the government. The protest started under the theme “Let’s oust the Gota-Ranil conspiracy government!”. Protestors demand “Go Home Gota” – a call for President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to step down and end what is regarded as the corrupt political system in the country.
Also students are demanding to provide relief for the people to live and arrest the masterminds of the Galle Face attack immediately. “No more debt! Take over the stolen money!” is another demand.
Last few weeks, Youth protesters have launched several protests in Colombo. Thousands of students from across Sri Lanka participated for these protests.
