According to Institute for Health Policy IHP data, Sri Lanka’s “Test Positivity Rate” is increasing further. Test positivity (using PCR tests) shows as 15% while seven day average shows as 13.7%. In January first week the rate was about 6%. According to the data reported by the IHP, this is the highest Test Positivity Rate since October last year. Last year August month, Sri Lanka’s Test Positivity Rate increased upto 34%.

Seven day average of PCR tests indicate as about 8,800. According to the data reported by the Epidemiology Unit, active cases count shows as 23,452.
