For the second consecutive day, Sri Lanka records over 1000 COVID cases. Today Sri Lanka reported 1082 coronavirus cases. This caseload is the highest daily cases after about 4 months. Test positivity rate is also increasing and the 7-day average is about 11%.
According to the health officials, omicron variant is now becoming the dominant variant that causes most COVID cases in Sri Lanka.
