The Internet’s Observatory NETBLOCKS says that Sri Lanka is experiencing a moderate decline in internet connectivity amid state-imposed power cuts, with observable impact to provider Dialog.

Meanwhile, some activists report being unable to get online at protests. The situation remains under observation.

Sri Lanka Police fired tear gas & use water cannons to disperse protestors on Pengiriwatte Road, Mirihana leading to President’s private residence. Several police officers reportedly injured following tense situation.

A large scale protest staged along the road leading to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s residence in Pengiriwatte, Mirihana this evening. The 119 bus route completely blocked due to the protest.
