According to the Milk powder Importers Association spokesman Ashoka Bandara, imported milk powder prices may be increased coming days. He further says that the final decision will be taken on March 20.
Price of a packet of 01 kg imported milk powder will be increased by Rs. 500 – 600 (new price may around Rs 1845) and a 400g packet by Rs. 260 (new price around Rs. 800).
Milk powder Importers Association increased the prices of milk powder twice last year after government has decided to remove controlled prices for milk powder.
