During a meeting with government officials in Badulla, President Ranil Wickremesinghe instructs health officials to take the necessary steps to upgrade the Mahinyanganaya Regional Hospital into a district hospital. Also he instructed to officials to upgrade Bandarawela district hospital into a Base Hospital.
