Hambantota participates in Photography Exhibition of Sister/ Friendship Cities of Guangzhou, China

Hambantota joined several cities from around the world in a photography exhibition organised by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government to celebrate milestone anniversaries of the municipality’s sister/friendship-city relations, while also bringing these cities more closer to the people in Guangzhou.

This year marks the 15^th anniversary of sister-city relationship between Hambantota and Guangzhou, the capital city of China’s economic powerhouse Guangdong Province, which has led to greater economic and cultural relations at the regional level of the two countries.

The exhibition themed “Green Development and Cultural Exchanges” is held at Guangzhou Library from 20 October to 10 November 2022. The online version of the exhibition can be accessed via https://s.eqxiu.cn/s/YEkuRC4v?bt=yxy during the same period.

The Consulate-General of Sri Lanka in Guangzhou assisted by the Hambantota Divisional Secretariat coordinated the Sri Lankan city’s participation at this photography exhibition.
