French President HE Emmanuel Macron and his delegation including the French Foreign Minister & State Minister for overseas territories arrived in the island a short while ago.
A bilateral meeting will be held between President Ranil Wickremesinghe and President Macron to discuss regional and global challenges.
This visit marks a historic occasion as it will be the first time a French president has visited Sri Lanka.
On June, President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe participated for the World Leader’s Summit for a New Global Financing Pact in France and met President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron.
