A foreign fishing vessel along with 7 crew members & carrying a large haul of heroin taken into custody by Sri Lanka Navy on seas South of Sri Lanka says Navy Spokesman.
Following a tip off received by the Sri Lanka Police, the Sri Lanka Navy Intelligence and the Sri Lanka Navy conducted a special operation in the last few days to nab a foreign fishing vessels carrying large quantities of narcotics in international waters south of Sri Lanka.
Accordingly, the suspected fishing vessel and the 07 foreign suspects are currently being brought to the Port of Colombo by the Sri Lanka Navy.
Accordingly, the suspected fishing vessel carrying the narcotics arriving at the Colombo harbor and the 07 foreign suspects are to be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau PNB for further investigations.
