Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Northern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Heavy showers about 100 mm may be expected at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Puttalam, Mannar, Kilinochchi and Jaffna districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere over the Island during the afternoon or night.
Strong winds about (40-45) kmph can be expected at times over the western slopes of the Central hills and in Southern province.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
