The Vice Sangha Raja of Myanmar Sitagu Sayadaw Most. Ven. Dr. Ashin Nyanissara donated USD 10,000/- (Ten Thousand US Dollars) (Approximately Sri Lankan Rupees 3,679,200/-) to the Government of Sri Lanka to purchase essential medicines and food items for the Sri Lankan people on 09 September 2022.
The monetary donation was officially handed over to the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Myanmar Janaka Bandara, by Sitagu Sayadaw Most Ven. Dr. Ashin Nyanissara at Sitagu International Buddhist Academy in Yangon when the Ambassador paid his homage to the Vice Sangha Raja of Myanmar.
Accepting the donation, Ambassador Janaka Bandara extended his gratitude and sincere thanks to the Most Ven. Vice Sangha Raja of Myanmar, for the generous gesture of donating USD 10,000 to Sri Lanka in this difficult hour.
