Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha states that efforts are underway to release the results of the 2023 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination in the beginning of May.

Furthermore, the Minister expressed that the timetable have already been prepared to hold the 2023 G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination in mid-May.

Joining an event held at the Ministry of Education premises today (04), Premajayantha mentioned that the report of the committee appointed to make recommendations with regard to increasing the allowances of teachers engaging in paper-marking activities have been received.

“Accordingly, approval will be obtained for the relevant report within the next few weeks”, he added.

The Education Minister, who stated that there are around 35,000 individuals taking part in O/L paper-marking and 19,000 those who participate in A/L paper-marking activities, assured that all of them will possibly receive a satisfactory allowance.
