In an islandwide YUKTHIYA special operation spanning the last 24 hours, coordinated efforts by the Police, Special Task Force (STF), and the Tri Forces, under the directives of Acting IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon, have resulted in the arrest of 2,121 individuals, with 133 of them directed towards rehabilitation, according to the Police Spokesman.

The special operation, conducted under detention orders obtained on the 12, saw a total of 2,020 male and 101 female suspects apprehended across the nation.

In a significant blow to illicit drug networks, the law enforcement agencies successfully seized 2.2 kilograms of Heroin, 769 grams of ICE, 178 kilograms of Cannabis, 30,550 Cannabis plants, and 3,489 pills during the course of the operation.
