Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Northwestern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Heavy rains above 100 mm can be expected at some places in these areas.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Fairly strong winds up to 50 kmph can be expected in the western slope of central hills, Northern, North-Central and North-Western provinces and in Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
Wind speed can be increased up to (60- 70) kmph in the sea area extending from Beruwala to Pottuvil via Galle and Hambantota.
The sea area extending from Beruwala to Pottuvil via Galle and Hambantota will be very rough at times. Naval and fishing communities and those who are living in coastal areas are requested to be vigilant in this regards.
