Sri Lanka Health Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana says that an aid comprising 101 types of medicines and surgical items donated by the government of India is expected to reach Sri Lanka on April 27.
Sri Lanka is experiencing a severe vital drug shortages in hospitals. Due to lack of foreign exchange, Sri Lanka government is unable to import essentials drugs and medicines. Sri Lanka requests donations or provide essential drugs from international agencies, foreign nationals, and Sri Lankan expatriates.
