Sri Lanka to re-open primary schools from October 25 after keeping them closed for 175 days due to the lockdown and travel restrictions imposed to contain the spread of the coronavirus. The schools were shut April 27 when Sri Lanka found that 3rd COVID cluster has emerged.
Sri Lanka Education Ministry Secretary says students will be permitted to attend school in any suitable attire.
Teachers and principals unions say they will report to work from October 25.
