According to the Director General of Health Services, 35 deaths had taken place October 9 and the total number of fatalities in Sri Lanka increased to 13,331.
For the 3rd consecutive day, Sri Lanka records less than 40 coronavirus deaths. 367 coronavirus related deaths have been reported in Sri Lanka during October 1 to October 9.
The majority of the deaths are of the people in the over 60 years of age group. 76% percent deaths are above age 60 years group. 22 percent are 30-59 and 1.16% are below the age of 30.
