Sri Lanka records 877 COVID cases

For the sixth consecutive day, Sri Lanka records over 800 COVID cases. Today Sri Lanka reported 877 coronavirus cases This caseload is the highest daily cases after 3 months. Test positivity rate is also increasing and the 7-day average is 10%. So far more than 275 Omicorn cases detected in Sri Lanka.

More than 5,700 COVID cases have been reported in Sri Lanka within the last 7 days. The number of Covid-19 cases reported within the last 7 days listed as 5,726. Sri Lanka is currently doing about 7500 PCR tests daily.

Sri Lanka has reported 601,886 COVID-19 cases out of which 576,114 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, bringing down the active patient count to over 11,000. A total of 15,313 deaths have been reported from the virus.
