Meteorology Department says the low level atmospheric disturbance is existing further in the vicinity of Island. Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North- western and Northern provinces and in Galle, Matara and Trincomalee districts.
Fairly heavy showers above 75mm can be expected at some places. Showers or thunder showers will occur elsewhere particularly during the afternoon.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
