Police arrested a former bank manager and the policeman over the incident of sexual exploitation of a 15 year old girl from Mt.Lavinia. According to police spokesman, so far 36 suspects arrested.
Police SDIG Ajith Rohana says arrested 36 suspects include main suspect, girl’s mother, father, doctor, a three-wheeler driver, a car driver, a monk, a gem businessman, former bank manager, policeman, Mihintale Pradeshiya Sabha vice chairman, Captain of a ship, Maldivian national, 2 website owners, a hotel manager and the person who has designed the advertisement.
On July 9th, The Navy doctor, Mihintale PS Vice Chairman & 2 gem businessmen arrested for sexual exploitation, granted bail by Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
