During the COVID Task Force meeting, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed Police Chief to take strict legal action against those who violate Quarantine Curfew.
Sri Lanka to impose Quarantine Curfew from 10pm August 20 till 04 AM Monday 30 August. Essential services, Agriculture, Apparel sector & pharmacies will function normally. Sri Lanka Army and Health sector will continue vaccination of those over 60-years of age against Covid-19 during the quarantine curfew period.
Police will strictly enforce quarantine curfew. From 2020 October 30th, so far total 55,656 people arrested for not wear face masks, not main social distancing concept and not obey travel restriction rules.
